If you want a custom desktop, give Microsoft’s Bing wallpapers a try. Here’s how you can set or unset Bing backgrounds as your own desktop background image
Every now and then, if you visit the official Bing page at www.bing.com, you will be stunned by new and exciting wallpaper backgrounds – unlike Google that stopped the iGoogle service that allowed you to change the backgrounds. I am always fond of these wallpapers and try to save them on my Desktop if something really inspires me. In this tutorial, I will show you how to use the Bing wallpaper as your Windows 7 deskop Background:
1. StepLaunch the Internet Explorer or another browser and go to http://www.bing.com/explore/desktop – and download + install Bing Desktop
Tip: The Internet Explorer cannot be fully uninstalled – however you may have removed the IE feature. If that is the case enter “Disable Windows Features” into your search bar (on the Start menu) and check the option Internet Explorer to re-enable it
2. Step Right-click on the Bing toolbar after following step 1 and then click on Settings => Make Bing homepage your desktop backgrounds
The Following Does No Longer Work! (Set As Background Greyed Out)
If you visit bing.com and right click on the Bing image the option is greyed out and not available any longer
Microsoft frequently updates the site so check back often
