If you are annoyed by Microsoft’s Upload Center, here’s a registry tweak to disable it.
The Microsoft Upload Center might not be needed, but it’s difficult to disable and it’s always in the system tray eating resources. We uploaded this registry tweak to disable it for you. You can download it here:
Download Registry Tweak To Disable Microsoft Office Upload Center
If this registry tweak does not work (you might need elevated rights), you should try to remove the registry key manually:
1. Step Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
2. Step Remove the key OfficeSyncProcess manually.
If you are still not able to disable Microsoft Office Upload Center, please let us know and we’ll try to help out
I do not have this registry entry, but MSOSYNC is starting anyway. I did discover a scheduled task at login to start it, but even disabling that doesn’t get rid of it. Using process explorer I can see that it’s connected to CSISYNCCLIENT.EXE and is also running as a service. I can’t tell which service is starting it, the only Office related services have to do with licensing.
